The Chad’s Day for Change Urban Trail Run offers a buffet of trail course treats for our runners.
Our courses run through Edmonton’s scenic North Saskatchewan river valley on mostly packed dirt trails with some gravel and asphalt paths. You’ll always be within sight of the river except when you’re in a forested ravine. The only road crossing on our 34 km route is a single crossing of the park access road.
The 34 km route is broken into 3 Legs. Each is an out-and-back loop that returns to the Start/Finish Race HQ.
Leg 1 is the DAWSON PARK LOOP.
Leg 2 is the STRATHCONA SCIENCE PARK LOOP.
leg 3 is the GOLDSTICK RAVINE LOOP.
The links to each Leg’s description and trail maps are below.

34km “Full Meal Deal” Soloists start on Leg 1 at 9am and run all three legs in order.

The 34km “Meal in 3 Courses” Relay Team gets a token that travels the whole distance. The Leg 1 Runner carries it out on the Dawson Park loop, starting at 9:05am. The token gets handed to the Leg 2 Runner for the Strathcona Science Park loop, and then to the Leg 3 Runner for the Goldstick Ravine loop to the Finish Line.

Single Leg “Pick Your Poison” Solo-ists will start their chosen leg at the following start times (to be confirmed).
Leg 1: 9:10am, Leg 2: 10:15am, Leg 3: 11:30am
